CICIS enables students to search for transfer records in two ways. If you are studying in a sub-degree program or have completed a sub-degree programme at community college, you can explore your study path by choosing your programme in “Associate Degree / Higher Diploma”. If you are a prospective sub-degree student planning your university study, you can perform a “reverse search” by choosing “Bachelor’s Degree” to explore which sub-degree programme may maximize the chance for transfer.
Please refer to User Manual for the on-screen instruction.
CICIS includes the historic transfer records showing the number of students who are transferred to a specific university bachelor’s degree programme from a specific community college sub-degree programmes on an annual basis. CICIS also summarizes the admission principles for SYA students extracted from the official websites of universities.
Information on transfer records is provided by the SYA Project-participating universities (PolyU, CityU, HKBU & CUHK).
No, admission to the UGC-funded universities is not a guaranteed articulation. Transfer records on CICIS are historic records for reference only. Places for SYA students are often limited and the university will select applicants on the basis of individual merits.
CICIS is updated annually after the universities have passed the admission data of that academic year to the project team.
No, the absence of search result does not represent that transfer is inapplicable to that/those programme(s). As CICIS has just started the pilot test with limited information collected from the partnering institutions, our transfer record has not covered your search criteria yet. There might be successful transfer cases that the CICIS didn’t record. You are welcomed to provide your record to CICIS after your successful transfer as a reference for the future SYA student.
