Year 2 Entry

Final year students and graduates of locally accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma programmes in relevant disciplines from institutions in Hong Kong. Applicants will be requested for admission interview if needed.

Year 3 Entry

Final year students and graduates of locally accredited Associate Degree or Higher Diploma programmes from institutions in Hong Kong, in discipline(s) highly related to Chinese, Business Administration, Corporate Governance, Financial Technology, History, Human Management Resource – Applied Psychology, Risk Management, Digital Marketing, Economics and Finance, Law and Business or Sociology. Applicants should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (out of a 4.0 scale) or above in completion of their sub-degree studies. All applicants are required to attend an admission interview and pass the language courses offered by HKSYU in Summer prior to the commencement of their study at HKSYU.

Students admitted to Year 2/3 at the University will be granted the Common Block Credit Transfer (CBCT) unless otherwise specified.  

For Year 2 Entry, the number of Block Credits Transfer is the required credits in the Year 1 curriculum of the HKSYU degree programme applied for.

For Year 3 Entry, the maximum number of Block Credit Transfer for Year 3 Entry is 50% of the total credits required for completion of a programme;

For Year 2 Entry, students will be required to complete CHI102 First Year Chinese II, core courses and required credits for Departmental electives (if any) in the Year 2 to Year 4 curriculum, the remaining credits required for graduation will consist of free electives.

For Year 3 Entry, students will be required to complete CHI102 First Year Chinese II, ENG212 English Writing II, core courses and required credits for Departmental electives (if any) in the Year 3 to Year 4 curriculum, the remaining credits required for graduation will consist of free electives.
